Terms of service

What we offer

We build and run websites for communities of every kind, such as studios, schools, temples, churches, cultural groups and independent teachers. We work by invitation: we choose the communities we work with, and asking us does not oblige either side.

Communities and their agreements

Each community we work with signs a written agreement with us. That agreement sets what we provide, the fees, how long it lasts and how it ends. Where the agreement and these terms differ, the agreement decides for that community.

Fees and cancelling

Fees are set in each community’s agreement and billed as it says. A community cancels as its agreement says. When an agreement ends, we help the community take its content and its members’ details with it, on request.

Members and their payments

When a member pays a community for a class, a membership, a course or anything else on its site, the purchase is between the member and that community. Payments are processed by Stripe, under Stripe’s own terms, and go to the community’s own Stripe account. Refunds and cancellations of those purchases follow the community’s own policy. Where a community’s agreement says so, Satjana receives a share of these payments.

Accounts

If you have an account on a community site, keep your sign-in to yourself and tell the community or us if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what is done with your account.

Content

A community owns what it publishes on its site, and so do members for what they write. You give us permission to store, show and copy that content as needed to run the site. Whoever publishes content is responsible for having the right to publish it.

Fair use

On any site we run, you may not:

• break the law, or help anyone else break it;
• harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
• post what you do not have the right to post;
• send spam, or harmful code;
• try to get into accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or disrupt the service.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on a site we run infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at Satjana LLC, 110 N Interstate 35, Suite 315-950, Round Rock, TX 78681, or to support@satjana.com. Our agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.

Classes, health and the AI guide

Classes, practices and teaching on community sites are not medical, legal or financial advice. Before a physical class, check with a doctor if you have a health condition, and go at your own pace. Some sites offer an AI guide that answers from the community’s own content; its answers can be wrong and are not professional advice.

The service

We work to keep every site running, safe and backed up, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. We may change or improve features, and tell communities of changes that affect them.

No warranty, and limits

As far as the law allows, the service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, Satjana is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability to anyone is limited to the fees that person or community paid Satjana in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending

We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms. A community’s agreement ends as that agreement says.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute is heard in the state or federal courts of Williamson County, Texas. Please write to us first: most things are settled by a conversation.

Changes

We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with its date; using the service after that means you accept it.
